The owners were fantastic, really friendly, and the price was reasonable. They even moved me to the honey moon suite with a bath at no extra cost. It was unbelievably quiet, comfortable and clean, and I loved my stay. There’s a community pool and tennis court beside the motel, with a river across the road where you can fish or kayak. Right on the highway, but a perfect location for me.

The bed was so co.fy I fell asleep straight away under those nice warm blankets, maybe a bit too warm. Had a great night’s sleep. The room was immaculately tidy, with properly hot water and superb pressure. Such a good road trip stop, too. They were super friendly and helpful with my late check-in and had dinner options ready to point me to.

It’s okay if you’re on a budget, but I wouldn’t stay again. It was hot during my stay and the AC barely helped. The shower is too low because it’s set in a bathtub. The kettle had so much limescale there were chunks in it, so I didn’t use it. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want coffee or tea.

We arrived last minute at 8pm on October 24, and the owners kindly let us stay at a good rate. When we asked about having a microwave, they were happy to bring one over from another room. Good value and kind owners.

The owners were very nice, and I slept well in a nice, clean room. A few things were disappointing, though: the hair dryer didn’t work, there was dust on the bed headboard and side tables, and the top of the shower needed cleaning. The cups and sauces were badly stained, and there were no side plates or other cutlery, so I couldn’t make toast. The bin still had rubbish in it.
