The pool was clean and about 1.2 m deep, so even non-swimmers could feel comfortable in it. There was plenty for families too, with farm animals, outdoor playgrounds and an indoor play area that needs to be booked. My wife and I stayed in Rose Cottage for our second anniversary. It was cosy and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. We were after a quiet break in nature, and it suited us perfectly. The owner left clear notes about the property rules and care, which made the place feel well organised. The owner was friendly, and we had a wonderful stay. We'd happily come back. York's welcoming people added to the stay, and being so close to Perth makes this somewhere I'd return to. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, and the spacious two-bedroom, one-bathroom accommodation had everything needed for a self-contained stay. It was exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly.

The people running the place were great, and there was plenty to do, from the activity room with games to the pool and the area for strolling. I was only there for two days but had one of my best stays. The animals were cute too. I'll be back and would recommend it to everyone.

The main issue was the noise from Great Southern Highway nearby. Cars and large trucks pass regularly, and it's enough to be annoying, so this isn't a quiet country stay. That's no fault of the owner, but people should know about it. The Rose chalet was spotlessly clean and matched the website photos, apart from the misleading view shown from the verandah.

Teresa was lovely to deal with. We had two cabins, the Aussie Bush Cabin and Bali Hai, for four adults and six kids to start the school holidays on Sunday 6-7/7/25. The cabins were well equipped, with lovely linen and comfy beds, and we had a ball spending time together. The kids enjoyed the animals, games room, trampoline, cubby house and sand patch. We had three children with special needs with us, and they loved the holiday. Thank you, we'd love to visit again.
