I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and spacious the room was. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and for the price it felt like a bargain. There was a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. I didn’t use the TV, but the AC got plenty of use. Management is remote, but one phone call got me my room number and the key box code. I can’t think why I’d be back in Gladstone, but if I am, I’ll look at staying here again. (Room 8)

The woman who services the rooms is lovely and really helpful. The people running the place are another story. The first time I booked with one of their other motels, they cancelled while I was travelling there, and after a lot of discussion sent me to Park view. This morning I called to explain that the recent weather and Bruce highway being cut meant I needed to move my booking to another date. She told me to do it on the website, which I did. Then she called back and said I needed to cancel the booking on the site, but there’s no way to do that. We just went round and round.

The bed was so comfortable, and the room was lovely and very clean. The aircon got really cold, too. They kindly let me check in two hours early. It was my first stay here, and I’ll definitely be back. 5 out of 5.

The staff were fantastic. My only small complaints were that the TV wasn’t mounted on the wall, so it took up bench space, and the microwave was old and discoloured.

I only stayed one night, and it made for a lovely stopover. The room was spacious and clean, and most things were within walking distance. Good work, keep it up.
