CBD Gi Motel

We were travelling from Brisbane when, just an hour before we arrived, we were told our phone booking had been automatically cancelled because they hadn’t received our card details. I’d given those details when booking. It seemed pretty obvious they’d overbooked or got a better offer, and we were the ones cancelled. What a poor way to run a business. Luckily, the lovely motel next door found us a room for the night and treated us wonderfully. This Motel showed no empathy at all, and the staff’s arrogant way of treating customers is unacceptable. I won’t recommend it to anyone.

The room was comfortable and I slept well, and the hosts were amazing to deal with. The location is handy and central. My one complaint is the gravel carpark: it got very, very noisy when vehicles were manoeuvring and parking through the night, unlike a concrete one.

Everything was within walking distance, and the rooms were newly renovated, very clean and had all the amenities you need. The staff were amazing and so accommodating. I’d highly recommend this motel.

The motel was handy for the main street and McDonald's, but the rooms were very small and out of date. Staff were okay.
