Adelaide Granada Motor Inn

Reception staff were lovely, and we had a good stay overall, partly because we have family nearby. The building is quite run down, though. The bathroom drain kept dripping water across the floor, the toilet roll holder was loose, and the door’s safety chain had been screwed on incorrectly so it didn’t work. Housekeeping was hit and miss: some days there was no service, and on others only one of the three beds was made. We expected Christmas and New Year rates, but the price still felt a little high for what we got. We could have stayed at a five-star establishment in town for a similar price.

Aldi next door was handy, and the location was alright. The room had a damp smell, a stained fitted sheet, curtains that didn’t fit the window properly, and broken bathroom tiles. The bathroom was tiny and smelly too. Calling this a three-star motel feels optimistic, more like two stars. Pretty sure they were cleaning rooms at 9pm.

We were travelling from WA and arrived very late, around 11pm. A lady came to open the door with a happy face, and the service was exceptional. The rooms were very clean, and the location was easy to get to. We had a very good experience.

The only thing that bothered me was that the spa in the pool area was out of action. I’d love to stay again if it’s working. The rooms were great, the staff were very friendly, and I enjoyed the stay. The receptionist was especially friendly and helpful when replacing the batteries in the air con remote.
