Bucketts Way Motel

The pool was a highlight, especially in the heatwave, and we got chatting with some other guests there. Buckets Way Motel has a lot of character for a little 3-star place. It’s clean, comfortable and welcoming, with a comfy bed, basic amenities, good air-con, a decent mini fridge, free Wi-Fi and a smart TV. You can walk into town and to some great places to eat. There’s no restaurant at the motel, but Roadies Café is only a short stroll away. The quirky bar has a pool table and dartboard, though it shuts at 4pm on Sundays. Other options are nearby. A shoutout to managers Frank and Sue, who were great to yarn with. They’re clearly putting effort into improving the grounds and rooms. It’s a friendly, no-frills place with plenty of personality, and an easy walk to town.

Frank and Sue gave me a friendly welcome, and there’s plenty of parking on site. The rooms are more than adequate and are gradually being renovated. With a great pool and town centre and pubs just a stone's throw away, the motel suits me like a comfy old jumper. It's the only place I stay in Gloucester.

The staff are warm and genuinely attentive, and that personal care made the stay stand out. Parking right outside the room was handy, and the motel is quiet despite being close to town, shops and cafés. The rooms at Bucketsway Motel were spotless, comfortable and well kept, with cozy beds and showers with great pressure. Everything felt welcoming and homely. Great value and service for a visit to Gloucester or a stopover. Highly recommend!

Roomy and amazing, with comfy beds and chairs and all you need. The outdoor areas are lovely, and parking is close to the rooms. Definitely worth a stay.
