After a 40-minute wait, I got a terrible lunch of sausages and mash. The sausages had the taste and texture of boiled ones reheated in a microwave. What looked like stringy sweet potato was cold and tasted like string. While waiting, I went to see what was taking so long and saw the cook with two plastic containers, one of mash and one of peas. So, reheated again. After 40 minutes, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect food freshly cooked.

The pub has a friendly atmosphere and is a relaxing place to sit for a while. The food is the best you'll find anywhere in the area, with pizzas among my favourites, along with the steaks and burgers. Really, it's all good. It's popular, so get there early. I've stayed here at least 45 nights over the years, and reckon it's the best pub in Gloucester. The accommodation is good and cheap, just out the back of the pub. They have a garage where you can lock up your bike, though I've never felt it was necessary. It's an ideal stop for motorcycle riders, especially when travelling through this very scenic area. Stu, the owner, rides a motorbike and is a good bloke, even if he does ride a ducati. I stay in pubs all over Australia when travelling by motorcycle, and I recommend this place 100%. I think Stu will know who I am.

The food was fab, and the beers from independent breweries were brilliant. It got really busy on Friday night, but the pub atmosphere was great.

There were three of us on bikes staying here last night. The motel was great for the price, and the meals were top notch. The pub was busy, which was good to see. We'd definitely recommend it.

It was a pretty hot night and there was no AC. Still, the restaurant was really good. I had a 200g Angus steak for $24, a huge meal, cooked well and great value. The bar staff were really friendly too. Can recommend.
