We were AB&B guests for seven days, so these comments are only about the shared areas. We’ll send feedback on the room separately. The place seems to have some catching up to do before it matches its advertised standard, with quite a few maintenance jobs still outstanding. The lifts in North tower 2 were slow, with long queues and waits. Getting to the lap pool was particularly unpleasant because the lifts and nearby public areas smelled awful. The rubbish chutes weren't working, so bins were being used, and they often didn't seem to be replaced. We also saw the same rubbish on the floors, including plasters, three days in a row. We understand it was a holiday period, but some services were simply inadequate.

Surfers Paradise is right outside, yet our room was extremely quiet, and I felt safe and secure in the building. I’d definitely come back if I need somewhere to stay in the near future.

The sheets and toilet were dirty, and the indoor pool was closed. We only found that out when we arrived, and there should be staff available to help new guests find their way. Room cleaning wasn't provided, just towel replacement, and amenities weren't replenished. On top of that, asking for a $500 bond after accommodation has already been paid for is a joke. I'm very disappointed with the service we didn't receive. It feels like another million dollar company making money off the Aussie battler. Do better.

They said a fan had been broken and that $75 would come out of our $500 deposit, but it wasn't broken when we left. We disputed the charge because we hadn't damaged anything, and the toilet problems were still there. Even if they kept the $75, where is the other $425? It was never sent back. The room was dusty, and the toilet didn't work when we arrived. We had to remove the lid and fix it ourselves, and it only worked temporarily, so we kept having to do it. They didn't seem to care. I'm never coming back.

The pools were lovely, and getting to the beach and main strip was a quick walk. We had secure underground parking and a Coles on the ground floor, which was really handy. Amazing views and location from level 37. We'll definitely stay again.
