The floor was really dirty and there were lots of bugs. That brought my rating down to three stars, though I could have given it five otherwise.

Spacious, no-fuss apartments with a full kitchen and laundry. It’s reasonably quiet despite being central. The basement parking is tight but manageable, just use your parking sensors. There’s no staff on site here, and check-in is at the nearby Bougainvillea apartments.

There are chain smokers everywhere, so expect secondhand smoke to come into your apartment every day.

The location is a 10/10, though tall buildings block the afternoon sun on the beach. The interior is a little dated, from 2006, and the architecture has an 80s Spanish influence. I stayed here years ago as a long-term option. When the car races lead to the area being sectioned off, staying here could be your worst nightmare or your best dream. Otherwise, it’s paradise.

The manager’s rules made no sense to me. We weren’t allowed to leave our things in the parking area, and we couldn’t get into our flat with the surfboard. I was really disappointed.
