Barbados Holiday Apartments

This was our third and last stay at Barbados Apartments. I can hardly believe how much it has deteriorated. I’m being generous with one star. We were charged $70 too much. They had quoted us an amount the previous year, but by the time I realized the difference, it was too late. After many calls and emails, I know we’ll never get it reimbursed. There were no doors on either the ensuite or main bathroom, so much for privacy. Maintenance was nonexistent: the washing machine had a “waiting for parts” sign, and our friends in another apartment had the same sign on their dishwasher. Their apartment also smelled bad. After a few days we found a baking dish full of rotten food in the oven. Then we got the smell again when we lifted the recycling bin lid and discovered that was where the manager had dumped it. Need I go on.

The place is a little dated, but for the price it was great. We got a good rate, a great location, a clean room, and a great bed and pillows. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even managed to find a parking spot for our second car.

Older style accommodation, but very affordable. The property managers are great, and it’s really close to the main street shops and restaurants.

The location was the only good part. The room was tiny and smelled bad.
