Anacapri Holiday Resort Apartments

We were told only when we arrived that our three-bedroom apartment had flooded the day before. They’d left a note with our key. Instead, we were moved into a two-bedroom place, a huge inconvenience with three kids. They left a pop-up bed in the lounge, so our oldest had to sleep there every night. By night ten he was over it, after sleeping poorly the whole time. They promised a decent refund as compensation by email and in person, but haven’t followed through. We also requested extra towels because there were five of us and not enough to go around. They never came, so we bought our own. Not a huge deal by itself, but again, they didn’t keep their word. The apartment was gross in places and not clean at all. It felt like they’d put us in a smaller place for their convenience, without any thought or care. We stayed at the end of October 2025. By February 2026, after many calls and emails, we’d been ignored and had given up hope of receiving the refund we were promised. That’s why I’m writing this now. I’d highly recommend avoiding these apartments unless you want a really bad experience.

I stayed with my family for eight days in January 2026, and none of us were happy. The online photos didn’t match the actual apartment. The glass all around it was very dirty, the fridge leaked badly, and the coffee table was broken. One leather couch was torn and ripped, while the other was stained and had a hole. The dining table had only three mismatched chairs. The shower window screen was broken, and the stove was damaged and dirty. There were no blinds in the kitchen, and with temperatures at 40, the air conditioning couldn’t cool the unit enough. They supplied toilet paper for the first night only and no tissues. The blanket was very thin and had holes. The balcony was dirty, with leftover cigarettes and cans from the previous tenant. It was very hard to use the master key to open and lock the door. The spa button only stayed on for a minute and twenty seconds, so we had to get up and switch it on every minute. The excuse was that parts needed changing, which was unbelievable after we’d been there eight days. I wouldn’t recommend it for families.

I booked a five-night townhouse at Anacapri Apartments, Gold Coast. It was convenient for location, but the room was much darker than I expected and quite different from the website photos. The old bed base and spring were uncomfortable and affected my sleep. The furniture had peeling paint or rust, and the online presentation didn’t reflect the accommodation well. Better lighting, improved furnishings and accurate photos would make the experience much better.

The pool and spa were excellent, and the room was a good size for our family of four with most things we needed. Our room was advertised as having a river and ocean view, but barely looked out over the river and had no ocean view at all. Construction next door woke us very early most mornings.
