The location was a real plus, with the beach, places to eat, bars, and tram stop all an easy walk away. The room itself was nice, but it needed a better clean: there were dirty handprints along the bathroom door and the oven was filthy. The walls looked like they hadn't been wiped in a while, and there were no face washers or soap in the bathroom. The aircon also switched off during the day, so it was hard to relax after being out in the heat. And the room key seemed to open the front gate, garage, and main doors too, which didn't feel very secure.

The pool, spa, and secure gated parking covered everything we needed. It was great value for the location, with a patrolled beach just a three minute walk away, coffee in two minutes, and excellent food about 5 to 7 minutes away. Simple accommodation, but the bed, pillows, blankets, and cleanliness were all good.

We arrived after reception had closed, but the person on the phone said to call when we got there and was happy to help. Check in went smoothly. The room was much bigger than we expected, and we learned we'd been upgraded to a superior room with a washing machine, which was handy while we were travelling around. The pool area was lovely, the location was great, and parking was secure. We had a great stay and will come back.

The location was great, but our room felt tired and wasn't clean. Nearly $90 AU was taken from our deposit, and I still don't know why. The Aruba Surf Resort Manager replied to my review about the deduction and said an email would follow, but I haven't received one.

The room was laid out like a small apartment, with a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony overlooking a small pool. The facilities are a little old, but it was all very clean. There was a washer and dryer, plus detergent for both the laundry and dishwasher. Our washing machine was broken, but when we mentioned it, the male housekeeper kindly offered to wash our clothes. He stayed calm and looked after everything carefully, and we really appreciated his help. We were there for two nights, and the location was excellent. The beach, casino, and plenty of restaurants were within walking distance, and free parking was available. Since it was our first time in the city, the housekeeper also suggested some nice places to visit. Thanks to him, we had a wonderful three days.
