BreakFree Moroccan

We were really pleased with our three-bedroom apartment and would happily book the same one again. It was much better than we expected. The only little issue was the very heavy main bedroom door, which might once have been a front door and takes some effort to open. Air conditioning in the other two bedrooms would be nice, though there are fans. WiFi depends on whether a modem is available, so TV apps like Netflix won’t work without one. There is a basic Foxtel pack, though.

We’ve stayed here lots of times and the apartment is great, with lovely amenities. This visit, though, we woke up to painters on our balcony, with no warning before arrival or at check-in, and we still paid full price. We sleep with the blinds open, so they were looking in while we were asleep and waking up. Luckily we don’t sleep naked. I told reception, but nothing was done.

The pools and spas were great, and the staff were friendly. Our apartment, though, was really grubby and needed a proper clean and some repairs. There was even graffiti in one of the bedrooms. It faced a rooftop bar, which made it quite noisy.

The front desk team at The Moroccan made us feel so welcome. They clearly love their work and went out of their way to make our stay special. Ashleigh especially helped make the trip fun and memorable. My son’s koala had been forgotten there for a while, and when it was sent back, it came with a photo book of its little holiday. Such a lovely touch.
