Coolangatta Sands Hostel

The location made getting around easy, with the beach and local shops nearby. The room was clean, comfortable and well cared for, and the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere made me feel at ease as soon as I arrived. I had a really enjoyable stay at Coolangatta Sands Hotel. Everything went smoothly, and I’d happily stay again or recommend it to anyone after a comfortable, well-located place.

I showed up at the Hostel one night with three bags and just the clothes I was wearing. The staff on duty were kind and caring, and everyone I met during my time there was outstanding, especially Stacy and Cat. They checked in when they saw me, offered encouragement and sometimes just gave me a hug. Nothing seemed too much trouble. It’s impressive how they manage two bars, a restaurant, bottle shop and a busy Hostel upstairs while still smiling and trying to accommodate people with all kinds of personalities. Come for the Queenslander Verandah sunsets, or the beach, bars and shopping centre just a three-minute walk away. I’ll treasure my memories at the Cooly Sands. Thank you doesn’t feel like enough.

I couldn't stay for the nights I'd booked, for reasons I won't go into, but I still had belongings sent to the hotel that I needed help sorting out. The front desk manager and the rest of the team were incredibly helpful. I really appreciated their assistance.

Came back after staying here before, and it was just as welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the bathrooms are huge. Hardly ever saw anyone else in there, either. Amazing value!
