Booking early for Easter got us a very good rate compared with other hotels in the area offering self-contained two-bedroom units. The rooms were clean, although there were some old stains on the couches. We hadn't realised that each floor was divided into three units running the full length of the building, so the apartments were very spacious. The lift arrangement was a bit of a surprise: two lifts serve the building, and you step straight out of the lift into your apartment. One lift serves the units in the middle and on one side, with doors opening on either side depending on the unit. FOB card access is meant to stop people getting to your floor or apartment. Since one step takes you right into your hallway, that security matters. On one occasion, while we were sitting on the lounge inside, the lift doors opened and the people in it could peer around the corner. That raised a security concern.

The unit was kept in excellent condition, and the owners were great to chat with. You can walk to everything you might need, except newspapers. I took a photo of the choppy seas and heavy rain just before Cyclone Alfred arrives.

We had a fantastic week in apartment 601 at Pure Kirra. The apartment was clean, had everything we needed, and the bedding was comfortable. I loved having the lift open straight into the apartment, and the balcony view was brilliant. Peter the Manager was brilliant and made our stay enjoyable and memorable. We booked two rooms for a family trip and stayed in 301 on the 3rd floor. The apartment was tastefully decorated, with a fantastic view up and down the beach. It was large enough for five, and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The main room had a walk-in closet leading to the bathroom, which was very clean, and the shower had high pressure. There's also an in-house garbage chute, a dishwasher, and a fully equipped kitchen. The lifts open into the rooms. The beach walkway goes all the way to Tugun, near the airport, and we also walked the other way to Tweed heads. The beach is patrolled in three parts. There are heaps of places to eat, including the club. We had great weather in mid Jan, and the kids loved it. The pool is small, but it was a great option when it was too hot for the beach. The managers were very friendly and helpful. Loved Pure Kirra, we'll be back. 😊
