I’ve never been so disgusted by an apartment. We had three nights booked but walked out after five minutes. There was hair in the shower, cobwebs in every corner, food squashed onto the glass table, thick dust over the furniture, and a bad smell. Even the sliding door handle was covered in cobwebs, so we had to wipe it before opening the doors. I wish I could add photos.

The owner shared useful local knowledge and recommendations, and the place was accessible and easy to deal with. The amenities were better than I expected and the price was better too. A few good shops are nearby, which made it very good value for anyone who knows how to live. Down the road, I’d been offered a worse deal and had to wait several hours before getting in. I’d been travelling for days and badly needed a shower. This place worked out much better, and nobody had to sit downwind of me at a table.

After the wait staff asked us to leave, we went to the Italian restaurant next door and really enjoyed both the food and service. The staff member with long straight hair was extremely rude and seemed very unhappy in her job. There are plenty of people looking for work, so I don’t understand why a business would keep someone like that. Awful place and awful service.

The place was dated and dusty, and there’s a noisy bar downstairs. If you’re over 170cm, forget a comfortable shower, your head will hit the bathroom ceiling.
