Sundale Motel

The reception staff were very polite, but the website doesn't show what the rooms really look like. This is an updated review, and after travelling a lot for work, this has to be the worst place I've stayed. There were no power points for charging phones or work laptops, and the walls need proper painting instead of brush marks over scratches. It looked like they were covering up a crime scene. It didn't feel very secure either. I'll travel farther south or north next time. Never going back.

I paid for a booking made 12 months ago, but after the business changed hands, they said my reservation had been lost and it wasn't their responsibility. There was no one at the reservation office, so I had to call and sort it out by phone. The man representing the business told me it had nothing to do with him, which could be true, but who knows. They'll keep my money, and I'm not happy. It's disgusting that they can't keep track of bookings and paperwork. How many other people has this happened to? Do your research before booking places like this. Tell your story too.

The bed was comfortable, and staff were friendly when the office happened to be open, which wasn't often. We spent three nights here, but a fluorescent light right outside our room stayed on all night, and machinery behind the unit was noisy. It was really hard to get a decent night's sleep, which is the whole point of a motel room.

Chris, thanks so much for helping me after my moped crash a week ago. I hope you got your chocolates. Sorry I missed you and couldn't thank you in person. You helped me a lot, and I appreciated it more than anything. The motel has great management. I highly recommend it. From Tracey Stone Rowe 👏👏
