Gemini Resort

Our room had breathtaking views of the ocean, shoreline, resort pool, and gardens. The rooms were beautifully presented, with a huge full size kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Gemini resort was exactly as advertised, which hasn’t been my experience elsewhere. It’s in a perfect spot, right on the beach, with everything else we needed close by. The staff and facilities were amazing. We loved it and will definitely be back.

This had been a special place for our family. In our mother’s last few months, we brought her here to watch sunsets from the balcony. Three months ago we booked a family weekend with our elderly father and specifically requested a disability accessible room, since he uses both a wheelchair and a wheelie walker. The room wasn’t suitable. He couldn’t get into either shower, struggled badly to use either toilet, and there was a dangerous lip at the ensuite entrance. After a terrible sleepless night and several frightening attempts to get him to a toilet, we had to take him home. He was very unwell. Don’t trust their claim that a room is disability accessible. They simply don’t care.

After 10 years of family holidays at Gemini, always our favourite, we’re sad to say we won’t return under the current management. They wouldn’t honour the written booking confirmation for a third floor apartment or higher. The apartment we got was below standard in cleanliness and furnishings compared with every one we’d rented before. We’d paid in full before arriving and received no discount despite the disruption and substandard stay.

The three bedroom units are spacious, and although the facilities are a little dated, they’re still great. A lovely place for a family holiday.
