Waterview Luxury Apartments

For $1,500.00 for six nights, this was not worth it, and the stay was very disappointing. The name is falsely advertised, as these apartments are by no means luxury. The carpets had stains that suggested they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, the kitchen utensils were very old, and the utensil drawers were dirty inside. The bathroom fans were filthy too, and I could go on. The pool had no rails, which seemed so dangerous.

The place was spacious, had great amenities, and was close to everything. We had a spa, too. Being near the airport might be contentious, but I liked seeing smaller aircraft take off and land up close. My only complaint, and I’m fussy, is that the bed was too firm for me. My partner had no complaints.

The apartment itself was a decent size and clean, though the bathrooms felt a bit worn and shabby. What let us down was the location of our unit at Waterview Luxury Apartments. We expected a view of Merimbula’s water, but were at the back of the property above the reception office, with only a partial water view. There was also a great view of the busy road across the front of the property and the airport runway. Traffic was almost constant, so sitting on the tiny balcony overlooking the road and bins wasn’t really an option. The stay was disappointing, and others should know about the near-constant road noise. Note: request not to stay in apartment 9.

The beds were the most comfortable you’ll ever find, and management were really friendly and helpful. Comfortable, luxurious and clean, with an easy walk to the beach and shops. Top shelf!
