Golden Beach Holiday Park

The beach is in a great location, but the amenities were awful. There are four or five ladies’ toilet stalls: one was out of order, another blocked with toilet paper and poo, and a third wouldn’t lock, leaving just one usable toilet. The fans were covered in dust and grime, and the soap dispenser had soap but didn’t work. You’d think someone would notice how dirty the fans were.

A pleasant spot overall, though the sites are very small and backing a van in can be tricky depending on the neighbours. The amenities are worn but usable. We stayed five days, and the drain smelled the whole time. We couldn’t open the van’s back windows. I reported it on our first day, and the lovely lady said she’d look into it straight away, but the smell remained. Great location.

We were grateful the hosts gave us a drive-through site, as this small boutique park can be a bit tricky with a big van. It’s quiet, with clean amenities and the beach very close by. Dogs aren’t allowed on that beach, but there are spectacular walks for them, and shops with takeaway options are only a short stroll away. We really liked this caravan site and highly recommend it.

Beautiful location, with most things we needed close by, though the sites are on the small side. The camp kitchen was nice and clean, but a microwave would be handy. One staff member was rude and arrogant. I called at the office before closing to buy something and was met with a grunt, then spoken to poorly again the next time. Unfortunately, I won’t be back.
