Goondiwindi Tourist Park

It feels like a little village with everything you need for a longer stay. The staff are friendly, and the rooms and toilets are clean. The cabins aren't old and nasty. You can hear a little street noise, but it didn't bother me. The wildlife around the little creek is beautiful.

VERY disappointed. The cabin was expensive, although the receptionist was pleasant when we arrived. On a 38 °C day, we found it like a furnace, with the air conditioning off. It was booked for two couples. The main bed was made, but the two single beds weren't, and their sheets had been left on top. The shared shower and toilet door wouldn't close because it was faulty, and my husband fixed it. There was no hand towel. A floor fan sat in the bedroom between the beds, facing the door, which wasn't great on a hot night. When we got back late after dinner and pulled down the sheets on the large bed, they were covered in brown stains, like someone had used them to wipe their bottom. Because it was late, we changed the bedding and reported it at checkout. The lady apologised and said we'd get a refund. When I followed up, they said they could only offer a free night's accommodation. This was our last night before returning to Melbourne, so a free night is no use to us. Definitely not customer-friendly. I won't forget our trip to Goondiwindi. I could post the disgusting sheet picture, but I won't.

We won't return to this park. The showers were warm, but you couldn't add cold water. There were prickles everywhere, none of the washing machines worked, and the office said good luck getting the wifi. It wasn't quiet either.

A good spot for an overnight stop. Friendly, clean, and easy to check in. What more do you need?
