Possum Creek Lodge

We booked at the last minute, and the host was excellent, really friendly. My partner Bruce and I stayed in the studio apartment, which had a great feel both inside and out. There’s a small balcony that’s lovely for an intimate dinner, and the gardens make it easy to forget about stress. Shops are close by, with a great Pizza Bar within walking distance and a Bottle Shop next door. I’d recommend this place 100%.

Jane was so warm and welcoming, and the suite was neat and clean. The property is beautiful, too. We only stayed one night, my fiancé and I, but it was such a lovely weekend. There’s a bottle shop, restaurant and patisserie right across the road, so you don’t need to go far. We’ll definitely stay again. Thanks so much, Jane!

We ate out in the garden beside the pond while staying in the little apartment under the main house. It’s a beautiful home and a lovely place to stay, though I would’ve liked to see the water features running. We were there in the off season, so they weren’t on. The caretaker’s old, cranky little dog barked and growled as it followed us around the garden, only stopping when we had steak, then begging for some. I didn’t feel threatened, but I can imagine people who aren’t comfortable around dogs might. I think it’d be better for the dog and the business if it weren’t allowed to follow guests around the grounds. There were also big clumps of dog poo on the lawn 🤢.

Possum Creek Lodge was a great spot for our wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday. We wanted somewhere peaceful that wasn’t too far from home, and it was only a three-minute drive to Kalamunda CBD. The price was extremely reasonable, and the manicured gardens and amazing fauna made it feel special. We chose the only room with a spa, and it exceeded what we expected. It was clean and homely, with old world charm. Thanks to Chris and Di (proprietors) for a wonderful stay. We’d highly recommend Possum Creek Lodge xxxx.
