The floors were really sticky, and there was mould on the bathroom walls and ceiling, plus hair and mould in the shower. It’s hard to believe the rooms are being cleaned properly. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re desperate.

The motel looks as neglected as you’d expect from a very old 70s building, outside and around the grounds, and our room was the same. Cleaning was unacceptable. The tea towel was dirty and wet, there was just one cereal bowl and one teaspoon, no dessert spoons, the white mugs were stained, and there was no sugar. Management fixed those things when we told them, but the place still needs a proper dust and sweep. Bring your own pillows if you stay, theirs are very thin. Cheap and nasty 😒

It’s an easy walk into town, and we keep choosing this place for an economical, comfortable night. The bed is awesome, the shower’s great, and the heating and cooling work fantastically. Staff are friendly too.

I’ve been back a number of times because the rooms are clean and comfortable, with all the basics provided, and it’s very good value. It’s close to supermarkets, great pubs, and the workers club. The outside could do with a lick of paint, and the paths could use a run with a leaf blower. It isn’t five-star accommodation, but you really can’t judge it by the cover.
