The lakeside restaurant was a highlight. We didn't eat in, but got takeaway sides one evening and they were delicious. The general store was also great, with lots of local produce and fair prices. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the text service for reaching reception was handy. Our family of four spent three nights in a two-bedroom lakeview chalet at RAC Karri Valley Resort. The views were breathtaking, and we loved the peaceful scenery. The cosy chalet had a nice rustic feel and the comforts we needed for a self-contained stay. The washer-dryer was useful with two young kids, the beds, pillows and luxurious-feeling sheets were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed, though there was no oven. There were lots of activities for families, including animal feeding, canoeing, SUPing and fishing. We took a beautiful walk to Beedelup Falls and enjoyed runs on the surrounding nature trails. We hadn't been to Karri Valley in over 12 years and were impressed by the renovations. RAC have modernised the resort while keeping the charm and character of the old Karri Valley I remember from 30 years ago. It's on the pricey side, but we felt the setting, facilities, views and experience made it worthwhile. We can't wait to return.

The restaurant deserves a special mention. The food and cocktails were excellent, and the view was beautiful. Martina and Jack, along with the rest of the staff, were so friendly, professional and welcoming. Our restaurant visits became a really happy part of the stay. We finished our WA trip here, and it was just right for winding down before the holiday ended. Our spacious, comfortable resort room and balcony overlooked the lake. The bathroom was older, but the shower worked well. The setting is gorgeous. We spent plenty of time watching birds on the lake, and there are good trails around the lake and in Beedelup national park for when we wanted to be more active. There's also a good range of activities.

We had an amazing long weekend here. The place is beautiful, and having the amenities so close made everything easy and comfortable. We'd definitely come back and make a quiet weekend visit an annual tradition. 10/10, would recommend.

The rooms had everything we needed, from pots, pans, cutlery and plates to kitchen appliances, an oven, iron, washing machine and powder packets. They were clean, with comfortable furniture, especially the sofas, and the windows had fabulous views. The location and service made us very happy. This is one of the best resorts I've been to in Australia. Not sure what could be better!

The restaurant was top notch, with superb buffet and dinner, and the activities were great too, especially hiring a boat on the lake. This really is a magical place, set beside a beautiful lake in the middle of the Carry trees forest. The one thing to improve is the accommodation cleaning. As you can see in the photos, both the windows and fly nets were very dirty.
