The place itself is beautiful and very well equipped, and the location was great. My main problem was keeping warm. The wood stove was lovely, but it took time to heat things up and couldn't run all day and night. We ended up buying a heater, since dressing warmly wasn't enough. Even a small Kmart heater kept in a cupboard with a note would help. There was no regular TV reception or WiFi, and paying $50 to get access felt steep. I like switching off, but having none of those options was too much. A spade or something to clear out the fire would also have been useful. Thanks for the stay.

The peaceful setting made it really hard to leave, and we're already looking forward to coming back. Our cottage at Marima Cottages was lovely and clean, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The fireplace was ready to light when we arrived, and electric blankets on every bed made the cold Pemberton forest nights comfortable. Having a spa to soak in was pure luxury. We had such a lovely stay.

We really enjoyed our time at the cottages, but an extra charge was taken from my account without warning. When I challenged it, the owner said it was a valid additional cost and wouldn't be refunded. They also admitted I should have been told about it instead of having to find it in the fine print. It's a shame the owner spoke to me so dismissively after an otherwise enjoyable stay. I wouldn't recommend this as a friendly place to stay.

We're on our second night here and I'm so happy with the stay. The cottage was clean when we arrived and smelled lovely, the bed is really comfortable, and the corner spa has been such a treat. It's a great spot for a quiet, relaxing break, with nature, music and a fire to cosy up by. I'd happily recommend it and will be back.

The quiet setting is lovely, with the kookaburras singing as the sun goes down. Our little cottage was spotless and had all the amenities we needed, plus a fire in the living area and wood supplied. A lovely place to relax with someone special and get away from city life. Lincoln and Marina even brought a parcel over to our chalet after it had been sent to the local post office for us as a surprise. I'd highly recommend this little retreat.
