Wilder Tasmania

We booked the dome for our anniversary and came away with an unforgettable stay. It was spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculate, a lovely place to switch off. The landscape views and cosy atmosphere made it feel special, and the facilities had us feeling like royalty. Our host was warm and accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The gorgeous lodge also has a self-service bar. Thank you for having us!

Matt was a lovely host, and Wilder Tasmania is beautiful. I liked that we were left to ourselves in the domes, which seem ideal for a honeymoon, romantic break, or just a reset. A few things could be better, though: the coffee machine was difficult to use and didn't work very well, and the breakfast condiments weren't local. The honey, for instance, wasn't from Mole Creek, even though it's nearby and we passed plenty of places selling local honey and jams. There's not much to do on site, and if you're staying more than one night, you won't get ideas for nearby attractions. Do your own research if you want to take day trips.

We really valued how clean and welcoming everything felt, and the place was cosy and comfortable. The self-service breakfast was a letdown, though: both the orange and apple juice had gone sour, almost like vinegar. The Wi-Fi also wasn't working while we were there. Even with those issues, we had a lovely stay and made memories we'll remember.

This ended up being my favourite place to stay during our eight nights in Tasmania. We were only meant to spend one night here before going to Cradle Mountain, but heavy rain forced us to cancel that trip. Staying here helped ease the disappointment, and I'd definitely come back on my next visit to Cradle Mountain.
