We couldn’t bring ourselves to stay and left straight away, without seeking a refund. It was a rough end to a long, hot day of driving. We got a less than amazing welcome, then found the room was uninhabitable. There was an overwhelming smell, either off food or backed-up plumbing, dirty surfaces, and curtains hanging off the small window in the tiny, hot-box room. We asked to move rooms, but the linen in the next one clearly hadn’t been changed. It looked like someone had slept on it, and as Airbnb hosts we know what clean linen should look like. I’d think twice before booking.

The location was great, and the stay wasn’t terrible, but the place needs updating. I’d booked a room with a spa and was told on arrival that it wasn’t working, so we were moved to another room. That spa didn’t work either. The facilities were old and had visible stains.

We stayed in room 12. The rooms were fine and everything worked okay except the shower. The shower head kept falling off its holder, and the taps made an extremely loud screaming noise. About 15% of the parking spots were taken up by old furniture, building materials and a tow truck, making it hard to find a space. With the lack of proper windows, it felt like sleeping on the footpath. We also had to call the office at midnight because the neighbours were extremely noisy.

When we stayed a few years ago, the room hadn’t been cleaned: there was tobacco all over it and dried poo on the blanket. The response was indifference, with no apology. The “gym” was a mould-smelling fitness dungeon, and the garage was full of old furniture. Recent reviews make it sound like the furniture is still there. I’ve only been looking because I have to head to Griffith again, and this place seems to have gotten even worse. It’s horrific.

Absolutely horrid. The place smells terrible, and the furniture is ancient, run down and yellowing. Carpet squares are lifting and could trip you. One of the worst motels I’ve ever stayed in. A big thumbs down to anyone thinking of staying there.
