The Nest at Gundaroo

We found the accommodation comfortable and the bed soft and luxurious. It's a fabulous spot for a foodie weekend, close to both grazing and the local pub for a meal. The welcome was warm, and we still had plenty of privacy. We plan to come back.

We wished we could have stayed longer at the Magpie Villa for our midweek getaway. Lana made check-in and communication easy, and there was plenty to choose from for breakfast. We ate it on the verandah in perfect weather. The villa had everything we needed, including kitchen utensils, glasses and crockery, soft bed linen, towels and lots of toiletries. Highly recommend, especially if you're also dining at Grazing, which is only a short walk away.

We stayed at the Nest while attending our wedding at Grazing in Gundaroo, and the deck's greenery made a lovely backdrop for photos. The 200m walk to the venue was easy, with locals calling out congratulations as they passed. The Herron Room was just right for me, my mum and my three bridesmaids to get ready. There was room for the hair and makeup vendors, plus a large bathroom, several mirrors, hanging space for dresses, hidden-away shelving, and a mid-sized fridge and freezer. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The king bed was very soft, and breakfast provisions included cereal, bread, eggs, bacon, milk and coffee for us to cook. While we were at the wedding, the hosts cleaned the room, so it was lovely again when we returned. I'd recommend it.

I’m a wedding photographer, and I always look forward to the getting-ready part, especially in a place like The Nest. My clients and their bridal party had a great time preparing here. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, which helped them handle their wedding nerves. It's close to the park and the famous Gundaroo restaurant, so getting between locations is quick and easy. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're planning a wedding in Dungaroo. It really suits couples and anyone after a luxurious short stay in Dungaroo.
