Oasis Apartments

Oasis 7 had clean bedding and a clean kitchen, but the bathroom was mouldy and the shower tiles were cracked. The air conditioners were dirty, and there were cheap patch-ups. We had to clean the dishwasher filters ourselves before it worked. I don’t know whether the unit is privately owned or managed by Hamilton island holiday homes, but I doubt this feedback is reaching whoever needs to hear it. Or maybe they just don’t care. For the price, I expected more. I’ll stay somewhere else next time.

We loved 27 Oasis so much after staying there last year with another married couple that we came back to number 27 this year. It feels like a secluded little paradise, with quality furniture and everything you could need. The free buggy was a fun bonus, and the sunset views are breathtaking.

The location is great and the apartment is spacious. That’s about it. Checking in after hours on a Sunday was a problem, and our allocated parking spot had been given to someone else, so we had to use visitor parking. I called the after-hours number six times. Five calls disconnected, and when I got through, the woman on the other end wasn’t very friendly and said nothing could be done. Not impressed. The lack of cleaning was disgusting too. There was dust buildup, and the cupboards, shower heads, taps and towel rails were dirty. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

We spent eight days at Oasis 28 and loved it. The water and marina views are amazing, and the furnishings were really nice and clean. A free buggy and airport transfers are included. Pete from HIHA communicated very well. Everything is close by, and you can even walk to the marina, pub and Bommies yacht club deck. We’ll be back.
