Nightcap at Findon Hotel

The staff were great, and being able to check in an hour early was helpful. We were in for one night to attend a concert at Adelaide Oval, so I accepted the inflated $300 price since we were flying in for the show. At that price, though, I expected a clean room. One pillowcase had what looked like a makeup stain, and we had to ask for it to be replaced. The room was quite large, but the bed was too soft to support me. The shower was a tiny cupboard with a very narrow doorway, and the basin and mirror were in the bedroom outside the bathroom. The balcony was unusable and looked nothing like the photos. The walls were paper thin, so we heard other guests talking and moving around. The location suited us this time, but the place needs an upgrade.

The Findon is in such a handy spot, close to everything, and the room cost far less than I expected. We even got welcome drinks included. We usually stay in the city centre, but I’d happily choose this location again. The room was bright, airy, exceptionally clean and nicely decorated, with quality fittings. Meals downstairs were good, and the bed was so comfortable that “comfortable” hardly covers it. From the warm welcome to the dining and bar staff, the service was 11 out of 10. It exceeded my expectations 💕👍👍👍

I only needed to use the toilet, and I was really grateful there was one available. My friend spent $36 on drinks while I was indisposed, though.

The rooms are fantastic. I only used the accommodation side of the hotel, so I can’t really comment on the pub.
