Reef View Hotel

The ocean view from the room was the best part, and breakfast had plenty of good quality options. Staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were solid, and the island bus stopping at the entrance made the airport transfer easy. The property is a little dated, though it still feels contemporary and well maintained. The old timber floor can feel sticky and doesn’t dry easily. There’s also a noticeable mould smell as soon as you enter if the air conditioning is off. Despite those minor issues, it’s a good choice on Hamilton Island for the views and convenience.

We found the hotel comfortable and handy as a base on Hamilton Island. Catseye Beach, island transport, restaurants, and activities were all easy to get to, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. What really made it special was the balcony outlook over the ocean and Whitsunday Island. Some parts of the hotel are a little dated, but the views more than made up for that. A great option if you want incredible ocean scenery and a central place to stay.

We were a bit concerned it wouldn’t be adults only, but from our corner terrace suite all we could hear was birds. The views from every room were amazing, including from the spacious bathroom. The suite was absolutely huge, with a massive balcony and an outdoor spa. It’s a sensational spot for a quiet day, and Kimi, our private concierge, gave us great service. The rooms are a bit dated.

Lovely service and I’d stay again. The rooms are large and the location and access are great. Breakfast was very nice too. The place is a little dated, check-in is very slow, and there’s no air conditioning in the main areas, including the restaurant and lounge.
