The pool and spa were closed for winter, even though that add-on is included in the stay price. Seasonal closures shouldn’t apply, or they should at least keep the spa open. If they can’t, they should remove it from the websites and signs. There was also no hot water for showers, and the back door in the room had no lock. It could be opened, with no safety precautions in place. At reception, an arrogant man approached us about parking our two rooms parallel at the end, saying we were taking up too much space. The account of what happened at reception in the reply is absolutely false. We’re leaving an honest review to warn people about the disrespectful, disgusting behaviour from the owner and staff, and they obviously don’t like that. Anywhere we stay in future will be better than this accommodation.

Terry and partner were wonderful hosts, and the staff were friendly. It was my first time in Raymond Terrace, and I found it a delightful little town. The rooms were in excellent condition, very clean, and had great bathrooms and super-comfy beds. The location was quiet and the price very reasonable. I highly recommend the Sleepy Hill Motor Inn.

Room 16 was nowhere near worth $180 a night. There were rules posted everywhere, and we were told to take our rubbish to the big bins before leaving. The room itself was the smallest I've ever stayed in, with no windows and two noisy air conditioning units out the back. Though it was pet friendly, there was barely space for our bags, let alone our dog. The ensuite was so cramped that two people couldn't be in it together, and the rock-hard bed left my back sore for days.

I've stayed here many times and have always found it very clean and quiet, whatever kind of room I've had. This time, the staff also went out of their way to help sort out a refund for a booking glitch with the booking site. They could have left it alone, but put in the time and effort. Big thanks to them.

The pool was magnificent, and the warm service was lovely. Getting into the centre of Raymond Terrace was easy with the local ABC TAXIS services, and we enjoyed the stay enough to add an extra night.
