We've visited a couple of times, even during a flood, and the staff have always been lovely. This trip we brought our van, and the sites felt rough beside some other places we've stayed, especially for the price. The power kept dipping at our site and the neighbours' too. Staff blamed a neighbour's cable, but that wasn't the cause, and the trouble got worse as more people arrived over the weekend. The long weekend also made the amenities hard to enjoy between cleans, with lots of unsupervised, unruly kids around. There's only one family bathroom, and you need a $50 deposit for the key. The bath plug didn't even fit the tub. It would be good to have someone enforce the rules and make sure visitors supervise their children during peak times. By the second day, our young kids couldn't use the toddler room because older children had damaged it, frightened the babies, sworn, behaved rowdily and violently, and tracked dirt through the padded space for under-threes. There are signs banning e-scooters and e-bikes, but several riders sped along the paths and nearly hit us and our kids. Bikes left across the paths made them hard to walk along too. Children and teens crowded the bathrooms, playground and jumping pillow late into the night, and underage drinking made it harder to feel our kids could enjoy themselves. We heard parents say they liked coming because there were no rules, and that seemed to fit the weekend. On arrival, several people were trying to get an extra vehicle through the boom gate. We love the area and park and would like to try a deluxe site sometime, but not on a peak weekend.

The coffee from the van was delicious, and there's a short drive to the local club or pub. It's a small park in a good spot, fine for a quick stop but I probably wouldn't stay long. Our site was rough and rocky, and the roads aren't scooter-friendly. The pool is small and seemed okay, but it looked dirty and then we saw ducks in it, so we didn't swim. The food van was supposed to come but was cancelled.

We've stayed here lots of times, and have visited all the Harrington Parks with our family. You can walk to the beach, cafes and parks, and the facilities include two pools and an indoor toddler play area for rainy days. The Wi-Fi is the weak spot. It's not great if you work from home or upload videos to YouTube, though it does get the kids outside exploring.

The property itself is lovely, and the holiday could have been perfect if the connection had worked as promised. We were told Wi-Fi was included, but there was none in our rooms, and some rooms had no mobile internet reception either. All four families hoped to get together in the evenings and use monitors to watch our kids, but the monitors need Wi-Fi, so that didn't work. Disconnecting from media can be nice, but some people need a dependable connection for work or to keep in touch with family.

Our powered site had either gravel, concrete or grass, with mesh or artificial grass over it, depending on the site. The roads weren't suitable for our young kids on scooters. There was very little shade by the pool and none over the splash park, and in peak season the pool got crowded and should open before 9am. The park feels a bit dated and needs more family rooms. There's only one, and with a $50 deposit for the key, it was hard to use when so many families needed it. The baby baths in the women's bathroom were poor and didn't feel safe, and young toddlers couldn't sit in them comfortably. The kids' room with the jungle gym was good for little ones to run around in the air conditioning, though some safety mesh was missing. It's a nice little park for a couple of days, but I wouldn't recommend a longer stay.
