Hay Point Country B&B

Our daughter loved fitting in a late swim, and our two house-trained dogs were welcome to stay with us. We were moving from Brisbane to Mackay and needed somewhere pet-friendly for the night before our furniture arrived. Judy and Graham set us up in a comfortable, fully functional one-bedroom cottage with a fold-out sofa for our daughter. It had a large bathroom, fitted kitchen, laundry, comfortable sitting and dining areas, plus linen and kitchen supplies. Breakfast had a fantastic range of cooked and uncooked options. You can choose a jar of tomato relish to have with breakfast and keep the rest. I picked the hot chilli one, the best relish I've ever had, especially good on sausages. I can't recommend Hay Point Bed and Breakfast strongly enough. It's about 20 minutes south of Mackay, so look no further if you need a place nearby.

The view from every window was gorgeous, and the independent granny flat was pretty, immaculate, comfortable and relaxing. The hosts were so generous about sharing their property with our two standard labradoodles. If you're after a peaceful, beautiful place for a stay with your fur babies, I can't recommend Hay Point enough. Heaven on a Stick. Can't wait to go back.

Our four-year-old twin girls loved the pool, chooks and goats, and we felt very welcome travelling with them. The accommodation was beautifully appointed, with a wonderful breakfast and gorgeous views over the QLD countryside. Sarina and the beaches are close, and Mackay is only about a half-hour drive away. Very highly recommended.

After an eight-hour drive with our Leonberger, Hay Point Country Bed and Breakfast was a very welcome sight. It's quiet, with lovely rural views, and the accommodation is clean and welcoming. A fantastic choice when travelling with a pet.
