We were grateful for an easy start back on the road after a quiet, comfortable rest. We left before daylight, and getting out with our trailer was smooth. The park looked lovely under the stars, with dim lights guiding the way and everything well coordinated. Earlier, we’d arrived in the evening and parked without any fuss, then went straight into a warm, compact cabin. The bathroom facilities and the whole complex are nicely set up. My partner, our happy dog and I had a really pleasant stay at Hay Caravan Park.

We’ve passed through Hay several times and tried other places, including the other big-name caravan park. This one feels like much better value. The service was excellent and we felt welcome; our cabin was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning kept up through the heatwave. The park was peaceful, and the pool was great for cooling off. We’ll look to stay here again next time we pass through.

The highway is close by, but I didn’t hear any traffic from my little campervan. I had a flat, grassy powered site with plenty of room. The amenities were clean, the park is dog friendly, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely return.

There are plenty of cabins here compared with caravan spots, and the park is nicely looked after. The toilet and shower facilities feel like stepping back to the 70s, but that’s groovy, baby! You get used to the highway traffic after a couple of hours.

Unforeseen events meant we checked in very late, but the owner still came out at 10:30 pm to hand us the key. The room was spacious, with a lovely ensuite, a great shower and a very comfortable bed. The air conditioner and fans were already on, so it was cool when we walked in, not hot.
