I was lucky enough to have the island almost to myself, aside from the wonderful team who took such thoughtful care of both me and the place. Alisha, Tom and Chef Arron, I can’t thank you enough. I’d love to have you at my home and spoil you like you spoiled me. Alisha’s kindness and eye for detail are what I’ll remember most. Tom knew so much about the island and its surroundings. I’m grateful I got to snorkel alongside him and see beautiful turtles at the cleaning station before peak season. And Chef Arron, the food was amazing. I’ve never felt so full and happy, especially knowing you make it all on an island. I loved every bit of this beautiful paradise and can’t wait to return. I left a little piece of my heart there.

There was so much wildlife, and the island was incredibly beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was fantastic. It was an incredible trip, even if the lack of sleep came with it. I’d recommend taking the helicopter back to Gladstone, since the boat can take a very long time and the sea can get rough.

We loved every moment of our honeymoon on this beautiful island, with its abundant marine life. Sheree and Alex were attentive hosts who never got in the way, and every meal Alex made was incredible. Such a unique, magical stay. I’d recommend it without hesitation, 10/10.

We spent four nights on Wilson Island and had a brilliant time. Bec and Andrew, our hosts, were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. On an island like this, the beach and views are expected; the people caring for you are what make the difference. The food was fresh and incredible. If you get the chance to visit, go. You won’t regret it.

The island’s untouched beauty is hard to put into words. We could snorkel just metres from our tents in clear water, with healthy coral, lots of fish and the occasional reef shark. Swimming with turtles and watching them nest only metres from us were unforgettable. At night, the calls of mournful shearwaters, noddies and terns were a cacophony that took one night to get used to. It’s strange how quiet home feels now. Our hosts Nina, Ricky, Sam and Harry were amazing, and the food was well above five-star quality. This was the most relaxing, idyllic and unique holiday I’ve ever had. We met lovely people and laughed a lot. We were so lucky to make the trip from South Australia, and can’t wait to return. One of the best holidays I’ve had.
