Aire Valley Guest House

The views were incredible, and the quiet felt like a real break from the world. I spent three nights here while travelling solo on the Great Ocean Walk, and it was the most welcome rest of the whole trip. I turned up cold and wet, hours before expected, but was welcomed straight away with a much-needed cuppa and a roaring fire. The hosts made sure I could have the quiet, comfortable, restful stay I needed. The food was outstanding, healthy and generous, all handmade with care. Homemade meusli, fresh bread, and packed lunches were just right for walking and recovering afterwards. I shared dinner with other guests on two nights. On my last evening, I ate on the deck by myself and watched the sun go down. The next morning’s breakfast came with a lovely sunrise too. Many thanks for such a wonderful break.
