Horsham Motel

I usually don’t post reviews, but this room was in a condition I couldn’t accept. The bathroom and room were very dated, with peeling paint, and the advertised pictures were misleading. The sink clogged just from washing my hands. There was no bedside lamp or dim light, so I had to leave the bathroom door open with its light on overnight, and that made the room smell bad. The aircon and hot water weren’t working because of an electrical problem. I asked the friendly receptionist twice; she flipped the fuse, but the aircon only stayed on for about 10 minutes before stopping again. I shivered all night and had a cold shower. The receptionist was nice, but the owners need to read reviews and do something about these issues. Really disappointing.

Some of the reviews seem pretty harsh to me. It was a clean, perfectly decent little motel, just a bit old and run down. Good value for what it costs.

It was tidy and clean, but very old and patched up. The bathroom floor tiles had cracks where bacteria could build up, and neither bedside lamp worked. The cigarette bins outside the door were full and smelly. The plants were drying out and, toy watered. There was bird poo on the door and windows, and the window sills needed cleaning. We could have used two wine glasses, and the guest laundry was locked.

Town was just a short walk away, and the free parking made things easy. Staff were welcoming and friendly. My room had everything I needed for a short stay, and it was clean and comfortable. Good value too. I’d happily stay again at Horsham Motel.
