This was my second visit to Cumquat House, and it won't be my last. It's a lovely, quiet home in a peaceful area, only a few minutes' drive from the CBD. The owner was friendly and very helpful, including offering to help with our luggage on the steep stairs, which are understandable in a historic house. It's a beautiful home from before World War One, with rooms decorated nicely while keeping some original features. Each room has a balcony with a table and chairs, and ours was immaculately clean.

I booked Cumquat House for my step-mum and she adored it. The Elmsworth Suite is beautiful, and the place feels like a hidden jewel in the hills of Ipswich, a serene oasis. Just lovely, highly recommend.

The stairs to the rooms are steep, so I'd suggest leaving big suitcases in the car and bringing a smaller bag. The building is historic and well maintained, and the room was stylish, clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed, with a lovely balcony. Breakfast was included, though we had other plans and didn't eat. I'd stay again.

The house has old charm, with lovely rooms, high ceilings, shared balconies, and great showers. Staff were great, and continental breakfast with bacon and eggs was included. There are some old house issues: steep stairs to the rooms, plumbing problems, and dirt under the beds. Don't look under there.

The historic building has been renovated beautifully and the atmosphere was great. Our room upstairs was large, clean, and comfortable, with a nice balcony and a comfortable bed. It wasn't disability friendly, at least the room we had. The bathroom was a little dark, and its fan came on with the light, making it noisy and a bit unpleasant.
