Feddie and Angie were so helpful and welcoming. The spot itself is a really peaceful place for a getaway.

My son was especially happy to see the alpacas and walk down to the stream. We stayed in a cosy cottage with lovely views across Jamieson valley. Freddie and Angie were warm and hospitable, and clearly put a lot of effort into making sure we had a wonderful stay. It’s a great place to step away from city demands and enjoy the Victorian high country.

The bird calls and fresh air made the surroundings feel so calm. Jamison Valley Retreat is a charming high country escape, a little over three hours’ drive from Melbourne, and a lovely place to unwind from busy city life. Freddie and Angel were friendly and took real care to make sure our cottage was clean and comfortable.

Each time my friends and I return to Jamieson retreat, it feels different, and somehow we’re already drawn back before we’ve even left. The open space meant we could all enjoy being there together. We spread sheets on the lawn to watch the stars, with the sunrise and sunset both so inviting. Fred kindly shared his local knowledge and walked us over the rolling hills and scrub. Being out in nature like that felt exactly like what we wanted from the trip. The clean, breezy air was refreshing and easy to breathe. We could hear the water rushing and trickling over pebbles and rocks behind Fred and Angie’s residence, a cool treat. Birds of all kinds and colors greeted us with their chirping and stayed around under the lush green oak trees throughout our visit.

A hidden gem, and one of Victoria’s most beautiful places. The country scenery, flowing fresh rivers, and all the different birds make it a great holiday spot. I need to come back and stay longer.
