Johanna Seaside Cottages

The cottage was clean and comfortable, and it was lovely to arrive with the fire already going. It felt so warm and cosy. We and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay in Rivernook Cottage. The view was breathtaking, and we loved seeing and hearing the ocean along with the beautiful scenery. We'll definitely be back!

We loved this place, surrounded by nature and its residents. The views from every window were incredible, with birds everywhere, plus kangaroos and cows. Our girl, a golden retriever, loved sharing the fresh air and open space with us. The cabin was cosy and thoughtfully set up with everything we could need. Fresh eggs and tomatoes were waiting for us, and they were delicious. There was plenty of firewood, the beds were warm and comfy, and the bathroom was bright, airy, and well stocked. Thanks to Johanna cottages for letting us share such a beautiful spot right by the beach among the lush green hills.

The sound of waves carries through the clean air, and there’s hardly any light or noise pollution. The whole place feels magical, tucked into a hillside above a beautiful valley on a gorgeous cattle farm. Joanna cottage was warm and cozy, with plenty of dry firewood and views I could sit and dream about. There’s a lovely farmhouse at the centre, with a heated pool and garden area. My partner booked us a couple of nights away, and I was looking forward to being near the beach, but I had no idea the lodging would be this magnificent. So much care has gone into making it a wonderful place to stay. I hope we can come back.

Glen Tara doesn’t have a sea view, but watching the sunshine catch the sea spray beyond those vivid green rolling hills was a delight. The cottage was spotless, very well equipped, and set in a magnificent landscape. It’s close to both the beach and the Great Ocean Walk. Three of the cottages do have sea views. My only small quibble is the shower, one tap is plumbed in back to front, so you need to take care.
