Nitmiluk is a great base for exploring, and we had a fantastic stay at Cicada Lodge. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pool was lovely in the warm weather. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast spread and dinner at the restaurant. Highly recommend.

The cabin is lovely, and the breakfast and evening drinks with canapés were fabulous. It’s worth paying extra to stay here. The mocktails were exceptional!

I never ate anywhere better during my three months here. The fusion of flavours was hard to fault, and the meals were stunning, with simple presentation for food at this level. Service was attentive and wonderful. It’s pricey, but you get what you pay for, so I was happy to spend the money. A real gem in Katherine’s food scene.

We couldn’t stay at Cicada Lodge because of circumstances we couldn’t avoid. Our booking was non-refundable, but the team still offered to reimburse half as a goodwill gesture. That felt generous and fair, and showed real care for guests. They communicated clearly, respectfully and professionally throughout. We didn’t get to experience the lodge this time, but they left us with a very positive impression and we’d be glad to return in the future.

Dinner at Cicada Lodge felt like fine dining in the heart of the Top End. The peaceful, intimate setting surrounded by Nitmiluk made it feel special, and every course was full of flavour, beautifully presented and made with fresh local ingredients. There was real attention to detail. The staff were warm, professional and attentive, and their wine suggestions paired perfectly with the meal. A standout experience if you’re staying at the lodge or visiting the area.
