Albany Happy Days Caravan Park

The river was right behind our grassy site, with birds and trees all around. We stayed here with family and liked the smaller, quieter feel compared with the big franchised parks. The grounds were kept up, and the nearby toilet and shower combo was always clean. Nothing to fault, we'd come back.

We arrived after booking more than six months ahead, only to find they couldn't provide what we'd booked or a safe site for our young family. They'd agreed to a full refund, then went back on it. The management and customer service were appalling, with no concern for us or our children. King River Palms across the way has equally lovely sites and facilities, and its owners are warm, welcoming, accommodating, and actually care about visitors.

We stayed beside the river and the site was gorgeous. The grass was green, amenities were clean, and upkeep happened daily and often. After travelling all over WA, this is hands down the best caravan park we've stayed at. Lovely people too. Highly, highly recommend!

We don't usually respond to reviews, but want to share our side. For the two guests, we offered two alternative sites each to choose from. We refunded them in cash, $330 and $220, less one night's stay because both left late in the afternoon as we were closing. They also took their Happy Days site cards, and one guest's husband skidded out through the gate. In our 13 years here, nobody has been unhappy with a riverfront site. They're our most requested spots. Five families with toddlers and small children are on them now, enjoying their stays and asking to return to riverfront sites next year.
