Smugglers on the Beach

I'm Joseph's wife, and I had to write this, even if it gets a bit long. It's our fourth day here, and as a clean freak who's hard to please, I still haven't found a single thing to complain about. If you're particular about cleanliness, book this place. It's not a fancy luxury resort, but it's almost as clean as my house. We're in room 10. The light grey couches look brand new, and for the first time at a hotel I didn't need to clean inside the drawers before putting our clothes away. Even the shower grout is white as. The old-style oven and stovetop, and the microwave in the kitchen, are all as clean as new. Before we arrived I called to explain that both my kids have skin problems and ask if the room had mould or dust. Sue told us when we arrived that they hadn't used harsh chemicals to clean it, which was a relief. The BBQ area and outside kitchen were surprisingly clean every day. The laundry has high-quality washing machines and is open to use like at home. Thank you, Sue and Peter. It's our first visit, but we'll be back.

It's so peaceful here and really close to the beach, with rooms that have everything you need. Sue and her team do a fantastic job keeping the place immaculate. I highly recommend it to everyone, from solo travellers to families, because it has it all. Thanks, Sue, for two magical days. I can't wait to come back. Cheers, Mac.

A quiet, very nice place to visit, with easy access to the beach. Late check-in was available, and the bed was clean. The room was huge.

We had a fantastic stay at Smugglers on the Beach in Coffs Harbour with my extended family and friends. Unit 18 felt like a five-star apartment, and while I've stayed at five-star resorts in the area, Smugglers was just as good and in some ways better. The only downside was that friends in another unit in the complex had a place that felt dated and nowhere near as modern or upgraded as ours. Our three-bedroom apartment was modern, spacious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The lush carpet, stylish wall art, and large wall-mounted TV made it feel warm and inviting. We especially liked the private balcony overlooking peaceful bushland, with glimpses of the ocean. The complex is quiet, family-friendly, and well maintained, with a lovely BBQ area and clean pool. The water was a bit cold, as expected in winter, but the pool area was still a great place to enjoy the sun. The location is fantastic, just a short stroll, about 20 meters, to a quiet beach and only minutes from Coffs Harbour. I'd absolutely stay again, especially in Unit 18.
