Waters Edge Holiday Park

The pool and games room were a hit with the kids, and the bathroom and toilet facilities were clean. Showers were pretty good too. The BBQs could use some attention, though. The plates are badly warped, which was disappointing since you have to pay to use them. We came with our 10m caravan after being told there was plenty of room and that it would fit easily. The sites themselves were a good size, but getting to them was another story. The roads are very narrow with tight turns, and I saw people with much smaller vans struggling. There isn’t enough room to reverse a van or manoeuvre around, especially if you’re not experienced at towing and reversing. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a medium-large van here. It seems much better suited to tents and smaller vans.

The staff were friendly and easy to communicate with, and the service was good. We stayed as two people on an ensuite site. There are only two ensuite sites for caravans and campers, but ours was clean and private. The place isn’t large, and it seemed geared more towards cabin stays than camping. There were three pools in the swimming area and a playground for kids. We’d return.

We ended up here for two nights on our way up the coast after rain forced us to abandon our original campsite. Reception was very accommodating. We had a camper trailer and she quickly found us a couple of parking spots. Our cabin was the most basic one, and it was basic, but everything was clean and well serviced. The staff were all friendly and ready to help.

We were on site 90, across from Adam, his lovely family and their fur baby. The location made it easy to walk everywhere, and the amenities were beautifully clean. What really stood out was how efficient the management was. It was reassuring to see the park kept to a high standard in every way, and we appreciated you taking care of things. This was a last-minute birthday getaway for Monday. We spent the day across the estuary, wandered the street for fresh fish and chips, then checked out the carnival over the road. We couldn’t have picked a better spot and would love to come back in the cooler months. Thanks, Kelly and John, for the fabulous service.
