Pacific Sands Apartments

I stayed in room 305, a 2 bedroom apartment with an ensuite and laundry, and couldn't believe how grotty it was. The furniture and carpets were heavily stained, and the tiled areas hadn't been swept or mopped. It seemed the unit hadn't been cleaned for some time. I would've cleaned it myself, but there were no cleaning supplies like a mop or broom, even though guests were "required to keep the unit clean". I'm amazed a holiday unit is left in such bad condition. I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me.

After six hours of delays and missed connections, we finally arrived from Tasmania after travelling on three flights in one day. I’m over 65 and was travelling with my 83-year-old mother. We had paid $2k in advance for 10 days, but because we got there after hours, the manager hassled me four times in one day about a key deposit and wouldn’t leave our key in the night pick-up. She said I could pay the deposit the next morning, after calling me at 9am. The manager was really rude and not accommodating. There was also a sharp spring sticking through the mattress in our unit. No replacement was available, so even though we arrived Friday night, I had to wait until Monday morning to change rooms. She offered a topper.

The price was ridiculous for what we got, and I wouldn’t stay there again. The floors were sticky, pie crumbs were on the balcony, the lounge was stained, and the kitchen cupboards were covered in handprints. There were cobwebs in the laundry cupboards and the aircons were dirty. The room had no broom, mop or dustpan, and the WiFi didn’t work. Reception was no help after I complained, and management never replied to my message. Totally disgusting. I just read a review about room 305, which was the one we had.

There was no adjustable vane on the air conditioning, and the pool area had neither towels nor toilet paper. A door seal by the entrance had peeled off at eye level.
