Hosting a group retreat can be complicated, but Ocean International made it feel easy. We held our wellness conference there and felt supported throughout the stay. Paul, Megan and Helen and the wider team were attentive, kind and very professional, with every detail handled warmly and carefully. The food was consistently fresh and delicious, and the staff's care made everything seamless from start to finish. Their mix of genuine service, professionalism and heart made for a truly nourishing weekend.

Hannah and her team looked after our family so well when we came to Mackay for my Mum's funeral. Our stay at Ocean International was wonderful. The accommodation was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. The food and beverages for the wake and during our stay were great, well presented and delicious. JJ and Paul made sure nothing was too much trouble. The pool was good, and the sunrises and beach walks were the icing on the cake. We'd happily stay again. Thank you so much for all your support and service.

Good value, clean and well maintained, with great service. The staff were friendly even with the demands from inebriated, entitled work Christmas party employees, which can't be easy. Bring some cash when you visit, because tips, manners and smiles make the experience better for everyone.

Came for the seafood platter for 2. The prawns looked pretty but were frozen, and the salt and pepper squid was undercooked, you can see it in the batter in the photo. The oysters were off, and they took them off the hill, which was nice. The caviar and lobster weren't too bad. Luke showed us to our table and was very polite and welcoming.

Big rooms, nice staff, and a great restaurant/bar and amenities. This is a great hotel in a fantastic spot close to the Airport and the beach. I can't recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back.
