The marina views are beautiful, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. We stayed in an 85 sqm, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, with a queen bed and two singles. It was clean, had good beds, a well-equipped kitchen and laundry in the apartment. The marina view was worth paying a little extra for. One gripe: the Weber BBQ on the balcony was old and hard to use. I’m handy, so I got it working, but others might struggle. If you plan to cook more than once or twice, bring a spare hot plate. It’s an excellent family holiday location, and I’ll be back.

Great location, with a big, clean apartment, secure parking underneath, a comfy bed and roomy bathrooms. The water view was okay, but the restaurant roofs below blocked some of it.

Our holiday was made miserable by this stay, and we won’t recommend Dolphin Quay to anyone. A receptionist described it as a self-service apartment, not a hotel. The room was average at best: small, with dirty furniture, a dirty balcony and an unpleasant smell throughout. I may have been lucky that the fridge was clean. Getting around the building was frustrating. There’s only one lift in the middle, it took ages and often didn’t work properly. We mostly used an emergency door that was in poor condition. The check-in was also bad: there was no receptionist after 4 pm, only paper instructions, and we struggled to call the emergency number. Cars over 1.93m high can’t use the car park. The receptionist was the worst part. After our baby was sick all night and needed hospitalisation, we asked to reschedule. She said the cancellation policy was strict, and that we couldn’t change the booking or get a refund no matter what happened. Room service was poor as well. Our baby was vomiting, so I called at 4 pm to ask for a spare bedsheet. The response shocked me: she said she couldn’t provide one and that an extra sheet would cost more. She said it wasn’t a hotel, but an apartment. We’ll always remember this as our worst holiday.

That huge balcony and its fantastic view over the marina were the best part of my stay in the 2 Bedroom Superior Marina View Apartments. The apartment was neat, tidy and had everything needed for a comfortable visit. It’s a fantastic location, with restaurants and cafes within walking distance. There are weekly dinner specials and $6 pints at happy hour. Try to book apartment n55, its fresh coastal decor is just beautiful.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was one undercover car park available. The rooms were reasonably equipped, but a few things need attention. Wind made the front door rattle, so we wedged a coaster in it to get a decent sleep. The air conditioner rattled too and was noisy. The electric jug needs replacing or descaling.
