White Shells Luxury Apartments

Jeff, the manager, and Tracy were great to deal with, and the cleaning staff kept apartment 6 nice and well looked after. It had everything needed for catering for a family, and there are nice local cafes. Most shops and bars are about a 10-minute drive away. The rooftop pool and hot spa were lovely, and the views across the area were nice, though there was no beach view even from the rooftop pool. The apartment itself wasn't as promised by the "Luxury" listing, mainly because of the furniture. The lounge was very dated and uncomfortable. You sank below the front rail of the couches, and after a few minutes your feet started tingling from the lack of blood flow. We added cushions and used pillows from the spare bedroom for any semblance of support. My wife made herself a little spot on the floor, and I Rubik's-cubed all the cushions on the two-seater to make a seat. The bed wasn't comfortable either. Jeff supplied a foam topper, and we added our own expensive topper; that helped us sleep a little better into the second week. By week three we were ready to go home. We wouldn't stay again unless they guaranteed real luxury furniture throughout the apartment.

We've stayed at White Shells three times now, and it's a superb place. The units are beautiful and immaculately clean, the facilities are fantastic, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It's quiet here, with an easy stroll to the beach.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and it’s a lovely spot for a quiet break with kids. The beach is an easy walk away, and there’s plenty of parking for a day visit too. We’d come back for another relaxing getaway.

The apartment was spacious, with a kitchen stocked with plenty of utensils. Ours faced the beach, and the double doors opened right out onto the deck, letting in a lovely breeze. The rooftop pool and spa were a good size and clean, and the whole place felt peaceful and quiet during the week. It’s right by the beach and Mount Coolum.
