Good service and a great view, so book a table on the deck. The prawn and pork dumplings were great, though an unexpected extra was one piece that turned out to be a chicken nugget. The ten-year-old in me was happy, and I ate it. The oyster special was odd: six very skinny oysters just sitting in their shells. If you knew they were sad, would you send them back? Unlike the Seaspray Life Saving Club, my partner loved the spritz. Sailors Grave on tap. Good work.

The bistro food was really, really good for pub food. There's a huge covered deck and lawn with great views, and well-behaved dogs are allowed out there. The staff were lovely too. Highly recommended!

A huge shout out to Guy. My husband and I had our wedding reception here, and I can't fault a thing. The food was great and everyone was very full. Staff were attentive, and having a little separate section of the bistro was wonderful. Guy was flexible, understanding and super supportive with the setup, making sure everything was perfect. Lots of people commented that night on how funny he was and how great he was with everyone. We'll remember the night forever. Guy, you're going to make the pub amazing. I'll be back in a few weeks.

The food was a revelation, thanks to the freshness and execution of every dish we tried, rather than any high-end restaurant style. Service was friendly and confident. Remote rural hotels don't often delight, but this one did. We had such an enjoyable two-night stay. The room, the tower, was light, airy, spacious, comfortable and clean.
